"I want to highlight that what I value the most, considering the hectic pace of life and responsibilities with children, is the constant communication between the coach and the athlete. Alex can always tailor the training to each person's life and personal preferences. In my case, I lean more towards trail running than road running. I particularly appreciate it when, after a training session, you share your feedback as it helps identify areas for improvement. If everything goes well, it reinforces positively and provides an extra boost of motivation to keep going. Another aspect I value is your attention to race days, asking about how it went, how I felt, and so on. Regarding the training itself, I believe they are perfectly tailored individually to each person. Many times, even with limited training time, we manage to have quality sessions.

"Coach Alex brought me back from Covid to PR at the Chicago marathon, from jogging 4 minutes and walking one minute, all the way to make me run my fastest marathon ever. He adjusted the training and together, we made it happen. I continue to choose him for my half marathon and marathon training because he’s fair in pushing my limits and making me a better athlete. He constantly pushes me off my comfort zone but he knows (way more than I do) exactly how far he needs to go with that. Every time that I read a tough workout I’m like “Damn, how am I going to do this?”, instead, I always end up doing it down to the second he had originally indicated! He’s challenging, but at the same time, he’s very aware that recovery is part of training and gives me a break whenever he understands that I do need one or I need to take the foot off the gas pedal. He listens, not only to the data, but to me. He truly embraces the feedback. He’s been such an amazing coach for every new challenge I decide to embark with him that he’s indeed part of my races. This is why every time that I cross the finish line and makes me me PR, I always said to him “Alex, we did it again!”

"My experience with coach Alex came after a terrible accident I suffered. I had been a marathon runner for a few years and was now starting back from scratch as I had been injured and out for a while. I was coming back not so much as a runner but was now starting as a triathlete. His method of training gives me confidence because the workouts are challenging. I’m stronger because of it.
